MORNING OF MUSIC

Sunday, May 18

We will have two guest musicians on Sunday, May 18. At 8:30, we will have guest organist, Traci Qian, who is a candidate for our open organist position. Plan to come early for her special prelude and stay for the postlude. At 10:30, we will have violinist Beth Hoffman playing with our contemporary praise team. Among other accomplishments, she is the co-concertmaster of the Waterloo/Cedar Falls symphony.

We will be celebrating our high school, military, technical school and college graduates on Sunday, June 1! Please send your photo and where you are graduating from to the church office by May 23 so we can include you!

We will celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit - Pentecost - on Sunday, June 8. Wear your RED to worship!

We will also celebrate with our young people who have completed confirmation classes, and will affirm their baptism during our 10:30 am worship service.

START SCHOOL RIGHT SHOE DRIVE

During May, we will be collecting money for the Start School Right Shoe Drive, so students can have sturdy shoes for recess and gym classes. Our goal is to collect $1800, which we hope will help purchase 60 pairs of shoes.

Online donations marked "Shoe Drive" will be sent to Start School Right's Shoe Drive.

AID TO UKRAINE

Online donations marked "Ukraine" will be forwarded to Lutheran World Relief.

The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) has launched a call for donations to support the churches and people of Ukraine, who are fleeing their homes and seeking shelter, basic necessities such as food and water, following Russia’s military invasion of the country.

Lutheran Church of the Resurrection will collect donations and forward to Lutheran World Federation. Check and cash donations can be dropped off at the church - please mark "Ukraine" in the memo. You can also donate online using our "Donate" button - select "Ukraine" in the dropdown; or Venmo to @resurrectionlutheran; comment "Ukraine."
