AID TO UKRAINE
The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) has launched a call for donations to support the churches and people of Ukraine, who are fleeing their homes and seeking shelter, basic necessities such as food and water, following Russia’s military invasion of the country.
Lutheran Church of the Resurrection will collect donations and forward to Lutheran World Federation. Check and cash donations can be dropped off at the church - please mark "Ukraine" in the memo. You can also donate online using our "Donate" button - select "Ukraine" in the dropdown; or Venmo to @resurrectionlutheran; comment "Ukraine."
LCR ADVENT DEVOTIONAL
Our Advent theme this year is "Love's Pure Light," from the beloved Christmas hymn, "Silent Night." Pick up a copy of our simple weekly devotional in the LCR gathering space, along with a battery votive candle, to help you reflect during the Advent Season.
We also invite you to share in-kind offerings to help local people in need. Each week, we have provided suggestions for simple, meaningful gifts to be brought to the manger in the Gathering Space.
Week One (December 1)
"All is calm, all is bright."
John 16:33
In-kind offering - Dish soap, laundry soap, all purpose cleaner (ex: Lysol) for Willis Dady.
Week Two (December 8)
"Glories stream from heaven afar."
Philippians 3:20
In-kind offering - Rice and/or mac n' cheese for The Churches of Marion Food Pantry.
Week Three (December 15)
"With the dawn of redeeming grace."
1 Peter 1:13

Week Four (December 22)
"Jesus, Lord at thy birth."
Luke 1:35
