Lutheran Church of the Resurrection

This is Christ's church & there is a place for you here!

We are the church that believes God's grace saves and frees us to love each other. We embrace you as a whole person--questions, complexities and all. Join us as we do God's work in Christ's name to make the world a better place for all people.

8:00 AM | First Light Traditional

This service is for people who prefer a traditional worship setting. We use liturgical settings throughout the year. Piano and organ are the principal instruments, with songs being sung from the Lutheran hymnals. The Resurrection choirs and small ensembles often perform anthems. Communion is celebrated on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays of each month.

10:30 AM | Contemporary

This service is led by our With Faith Praise band which is a high energy ensemble that plays contemporary Christian music.  This service includes an extended time of worship through music and incorporates time for prayer before the reading of scripture and the message for the day. Communion is celebrated on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Sundays of every month.

6:00 PM | Evening Song

Evening Song Worship is a mix of modern praise songs and old familiar hymns, accompanied by a small praise & worship team. Vocalists from the worship team lead the congregation in singing, and Communion is celebrated on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Wednesdays. Evening Song Worship is designed to bring together the best of contemporary and traditional worship services in a casual atmosphere.

Come as you are

We want you to come just as you are. When you walk through our doors you may see people in suits and ties, but you will also see people in jeans and t-shirts. We want to make sure when you visit you are comfortable and that is all that matters to us. As long you are come through our doors, we want to make sure you feel loved and welcomed. If you ever need anything, always feel free to connect with us. We love to hear from our new visitors.

We love to welcome kids to worship and want to make that experience great for kids and their parents. There is a drawing table on the right side of the worship room as you enter that kids can play at during the service. Additionally, there are activity bags for kids just outside the worship room on the right (don't be afraid to ask an usher for help)! We also offer nursery care for babies through kindergarten age kids.

We are congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

Together in Jesus Christ we are freed by grace to be our true, authentic selves.

As people of God, we strive to live in ways that model God's grace and love to others. In the person of Jesus Christ, God has restored our relationships to God and each other. It is through these restored relationships that we are free to live into the authentic version of ourselves that God wants for us. This radical way of living through Christ is what defines, shapes and guides us as a community of faith.
By God’s grace we can and do live confidently, generously, and in service to others. We are all journeying in this mysterious, paradoxical way of living in Christ together – including our human limitations and failings, and the ambiguities, uncertainties, and suffering that we experience.
