Worship

At Resurrection, we work to offer worship opportunities where people can experience God’s presence through music and prayer, readings and images, reflection, fellowship, and generosity. To accomplish this we offer three worship times and settings every week throughout the year. We also offer special times to join in worship at certain holidays and in the weeks leading up to Holy Week and Easter (Lent).

Child care is available for children 5 and under in our nursery on Sunday morning from 8:00 to 11:00 am.

Sunday | 8:00 AM – Traditional

This service is for people who prefer a more traditional worship setting. We use a variety of liturgies, from traditional to blended, throughout the year. Piano and organ are the principal instruments, with songs being sung from the Lutheran hymnals. The Resurrection choirs and small ensembles often perform anthems. Communion is celebrated on the first, third, and fifth Sundays of each month.

Sunday | 10:00 AM – Contemporary

This service is led by our With Faith Praise band which is a high energy ensemble that plays contemporary Christian music.  This 45-minute service includes an extended time of worship through music and incorporates time for personal prayer and meditation before the reading of scripture and the message for the day. Communion is celebrated on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month.

Wednesday | 6:00 PM – Blended

Evening Song Worship is a mix of modern praise songs and old familiar hymns, accompanied by a small praise & worship team. Vocalists from the worship team lead the congregation in singing, and Communion is celebrated on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays. Evening Song Worship is designed to bring together the best of contemporary and traditional worship services in a casual atmosphere.

The message and theme on Wednesday evenings is a repeat from the previous Sunday. This makes it the perfect alternative for people who are out of town on the weekend or busy with team tournaments or other commitments. Join us for a time of fellowship and refreshments before worship and get that spiritual recharge midweek.  All are welcome!
