Resurrection E-news: Sunday, May 12, 2019

Dear members and friends of LCR,

This Sunday, May 12 (and Wednesday the 15th), we will continue our new sermon series- Unafraid: Living with Courage and Hope.  My sermon will be on “Friendless and Alone.” This series explores the most common worries and fears experienced by Americans today; consider practical steps for overcoming these fears; and look at these fears in the light of scripture and faith that calls us to live with courage and hope. This week’s focus is on factors that contribute to feeling friendless and alone in today’s world; some wisdom from therapists including looking back at our childhood for clues; and God’s answer for our lonely times- people and a personal relationship with Jesus. The Galileans will sing at the 8:00 service, and holy communion will be served at 10:00.

LCR’s Bible Camp ‘Giving Tree’ will be in the gathering space with envelopes for your gifts through this Sunday, May 12. In addition to your Giving Tree donations, each camper is going to receive a $150 scholarship from the General Fund ($75 for mini-campers).

There are other unique events and opportunities that we want to alert you to through this weekly e-note. Our website ( provide more details on each topic.

Peace be with you,

Pastor Dennis
