Resurrection E-news: Sunday, June 17, 2018

Dear members and friends of LCR,

On this Father’s Day, June 17th,  we will consider the third topic in our sermon series “Forgiveness: Finding Peace Through Letting Go.” This week’s message is on forgiveness in daily life with those outside our family. I will share a message about dealing with the “small stones” that tend to weigh us down as well as the big rocks that seem overwhelming to carry in our relationship backpacks. The parable of the unforgiving servant from Matthew 18 reminds us that on the cross, Jesus forgave us of an unpayable debt, and we are called to show that same mercy and grace to others.  In addition, we will celebrate the baptisms of  Alexander DeLarm, Amelia DeLarm, and Owen Phillips at the 9:45 service.

One of our mission trips will return this weekend as the Pine Ridge group arrives home. We will hear from them on June 24 & 27 as they share about their experiences with the Native American community in South Dakota. Our other mission trip in Malawi is still underway. They will bring the message on July 8 & 11  about their time in Africa leading Camp Chisomo. Please keep all the youth and adults on these trips in your prayers.

There are other unique events and opportunities that we want to alert you to through this weekly e-note, such as the LCR/Mission of Hope Golf Outing Fundraiser and the Heavenly Harp concert – both held on June 24th. Our website ( provide more details on each topic.

Blessings to you,

Pastor Dennis
