May 8: Shaking Ground and Firm Foundations

This Sunday, May 8, Pastor Miranda will preach on “Shaking Ground and Firm Foundations” and we will celebrate and recognize our Discipleship Volunteers.

On our hardest days… when the very foundations that we rest our lives on seem to shake… how do we respond? Where is God in the midst of it? Where does our strength come from? Our preaching text for this day comes from the book of Acts. We hear a drama-filled story of release in the face of oppression, imprisonment for helping another, an earthquake that breaks the chains holding the disciples in prison, and the rescue of a jailer and his family that ends in much rejoicing. Join us as we hear of the power of God and are reminded of the strength that God gives in surprising ways. Our scripture is Acts 16:16-34.

Please take our “Worship Preference Survey” at this link or you can take it on Sunday in print form.
