On this anniversary of Martin Luther’s birthday we invite your prayers for our global church, its leaders and all the people who are shown the love of Christ through the various ministries we support.

ELCA – The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is comprised of 10,000 congregations in 65 geographically based Synods across the United States. Haiti Earthquake Relief

A magnitude 7.0 earthquake rocked the island country of Haiti on Tuesday, January 12. Buildings are destroyed, the search for survivors is intense and the streets of Haiti are filled with people in shock and searching for loved ones among the rubble. ELCA Disaster Response partners already in Haiti have survived the quake and are working to serve the people of Haiti.

Your help is needed today to bring immediate relief and continued hope for our brothers and sisters in Haiti. About 3 million people, one-third of Haiti’s population, were affected by this earthquake.

100% of the money you donate to the ELCA Disaster Relief in Haiti program will go to relief. Because the administration of the Disaster Relief agency is funded in other ways everything you donate goes to helping those who need it most right now.
