Commitment Cards

Thank You to everyone who has responded to the Rejoice Envision Celebrate stewardship and vision appeal. Your prayerful and financial support of the work and ministry of Resurrection are a blessing to so many people locally and around the world.

If you have not had an opportunity to turn in your Commitment Card or just wanted more time to think and pray about your personal commitment, it’s not too late! If you’ve misplaced the materials that were passed out at worship or mailed to your home you can find copies at the church office, in special envelopes in the worship room or right here. Just follow the links to download a PDF version of the Commitment Card or the special brochure with information about how to fill out the commitment card to make sure your gifts are going where you want them to.

Completed Commitment Cards can be mailed or turned into the church office or simply placed in the offering plates during worship.

August 2011 Calendar of Events

Holy Week/Easter Worship

As we observe the events surrounding Jesus’ death and resurrection there will be several worship opportunities, each with its own significance this week. Family guests and community members are welcome to join us for any or all of these worship services.

Maundy Thursday – 7:00 pm Thursday, April 21, 2011
Jesus celebrated the Passover with his disciples in what turned out to be his last supper with them before his crucifixion. We share in that supper through our participation in Holy Communion. This is also the worship in which the 4th grade students who have received instruction will participate in their First Communion.

Good Friday – 7:00 pm Friday, April 22, 2011
Good Friday worship is a somber, meditative service in which we recall through readings and song, the crucifixion of Jesus.

Easter Sunday – 8:15, 9:45 & 11:00 am Sunday, April 24, 2011
We celebrate Jesus’ triumph over death with shouts of, “He is risen! He is risen indeed!”  We sing “Alleluia” with angel choirs and believers across time and around the world. We no longer need to live in fear because Jesus goes ahead of us ready to welcome us into a new day and a new life.

Easter Brunch – 9:00-10:45
Join us for Easter Brunch in the Fellowship Hall before or after worship. A free-will offering will be taken and proceeds will support the youth participating in the summer mission trip. Egg bakes, fruit, juice, milk and coffee will be served along with other baked goods.

2011 Annual Meeting

The 2011 Annual Meeting of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection will begin at 12:15pm  Sunday, January 30, 2011 in the Worship Room. The meeting will include a review of the ministries of the congregation with special emphasis on the progress of Vision Goals. The 2011 budget will be previewed and put up for adoption and election of Council and select Committee members will take place as well.
