Worship at Resurrection this week

Our Students from the Seats series continues this week in worship with an EDGE youth sharing their testimony of how Jesus is at work in their life. This Sunday we’ll hear from Jon Wisner. Pastor Miranda will follow with a sermon on “Jesus’ Temptation – Strength to Live Into Who We Are Called to Be.” Services are at 8:15, 9:45, and 11:00 am.

When you come to worship, be sure to bring a 4- or 5-oz bar of soap, in its original wrapping, to donate to our ‘Baskets of Promise’ campaign. On March 20th, we’ll assemble all the personal care items donated throughout Lent and send the kits to Lutheran World Relief for distribution to people around the world who have been driven from their homes by natural disasters or violence.

We are gathering for worship every Wednesday evening at 6:00 and 7:00 during the season of Lent (February 17–March 16). Our theme will be “Stories of Faith and Vocation” with special faith testimonies from members  of Resurrection. It will be a meaningful and inspiring time as members share how their faith in Jesus has connected with what they feel called to in life as far as career, family, volunteering, and/or leisure.

All are welcome to gather with us during this Lenten season to worship and to listen for Jesus’ call to follow in our lives. Holden Evening Prayer is our Lenten liturgy. Lenten Suppers will be served from 5:15-6:45 pm to support various ministries of the church and our mission partners.

February 17th Lenten Supper is a massive taco bar, provided by the Wednesday Night Live kids & families to raise money for future Kids Against Hunger events.personal care kits
