GIVE US YOUR FEEDBACK!
As part of the long range planning process, we have surveyed our members to assess our needs, wants, and passions (Where are we now? Where do we want to go?). As Christians, we all share the mission to reach out to others to share the gospel. This reaching out can be done in many ways such as helping those around us with their spiritual, physical, mental and emotional needs, wants and desires. As part of our seeking, we are reaching out to our neighbors and the community of Marion to determine how our needs, wants, and passions align with those of our local community. This information will be of great value to our planning team in helping to determine our path and the strategy to put this plan into action (How do we get there?). The community survey is one method we can use to assess the needs of our community and the community panel is another way that those needs can be discussed and explored.
Over the last few weeks we have been working with the Vernon Research Group to develop a customized survey that will collect the congregation’s preferences around the areas of Worship, Engagement, and Outreach. So far, 227 of you have taken the survey! You should have received an email from email@example.com that includes your individual link into the survey.
Sunday, April 9th, is the last day you can take the survey. Paper copies and tablet computers will be available in the gathering space today. Again, your responses will help us determine the congregation’s collective preferences. Thank you so much for your help!
Palm Sunday, April 9 – Straddling Two Worlds
On this Palm Sunday, we hear in Matthew’s gospel that “they brought a donkey and a colt, and put their cloaks on them, and Jesus sat on them” as he entered Jerusalem. (Matthew 21:7). As Jesus somehow straddles two animals on his ride, he also straddles two worlds or kingdoms. Following Jesus means doing the same – living with a foot in both kingdoms. Our EDGE youth will lead worship at the 9:45 and 11:00 services today. Preacher: Pastor Dennis
