Pastoral Transition

The Church Council is in the final steps of selecting the call committee. We have been working with the synod office to guide us through this process. We were blessed with almost twenty volunteers to be on the LCR Call Committee. These volunteers answered a questionnaire as a part of the selection process. The council chose a diverse cross-section of members to represent the congregation. We will be announcing the call committee after review from the synod Bishop’s assistant. We believe we have a great team assembled to map the direction of the church through the selection of its next leader. May God bless you and keep you always! Questions or concerns – contact Jim or Dave or any council member.

Opportunities to Serve

FLY (Feeding Lunches to Youth) // The Feeding Lunches to Youth (FLY) program prepares sack lunches in the summer to needy youth in the Marion & Linn Mar districts. LCR volunteers help pack lunches or deliver & serve at the designated sites on Mondays throughout the summer. Kids and teens are welcome to serve with an adult. Sign up today!

Adult Discipleship

Lifetree Cafe // We are offering this popular program at 9:05 am each Sunday this summer in addition to the Friday gathering. Grab your coffee and snacks, and join us in the fellowship hall. Feel free to invite outside friends as we have conversations about topics relevant to anyone. This week we will discuss “Concussions: A Former NFL Player Speaks Out”

Summer Novel Conversations // We’ve put together a great list of books for your summer reading. Each of these books can be borrowed at local libraries or purchased in a variety of formats. If you are one who enjoys talking over a good book after you’ve read it, we’ll have discussion sessions at 9:05 am each Sunday this summer in the church lounge. Today we’re talking about “Lamb, the Gospel According to Biff” by Christopher Moore – please join us!
