Holy Week Worship

Holy Week worship services will be observed at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection the week of April 13-20. Members, family, friends and members of the community are welcome to attend any and all of the services which dramatize the week leading up to Jesus’ death and resurrection.

Passion Sunday, April 13th. Recount the dramatic entry into Jerusalem and look forward to the events of the week with Jesus’ arrest, trial and crucifixion. Regular Sunday worship times: 8:15, 9:45 & 11:00

Maundy Thursday, April 17th, 7:00 pm. The story of Jesus’ last meal with his disciples before his death will be retold and we will share in this meal with Holy Communion. We will also be welcoming many youth for their first communion.

Good Friday, April 18th, 7:00 pm. We will hear again the description of Jesus’ death and watch a video from The 24 Hours that Changed the World. We will get a firsthand look at the traditional location of the cross and grave in the Holy Land.

Easter Sunday, April 20th. Our celebration worship centers around the good news of Jesus’ resurrection and the promise of new life that follows death.
