Remember…. Now that Pastor Dennis is retired, he will not be available to conduct or participate in funerals, weddings, hospital calls, emergency calls, or other functions normally carried out by a pastor of LCR. Please instead contact Pastor Denny at the church.

Pastor Denny Wright is a retired ELCA pastor who grew up in Cedar Rapids, graduating from Washington High School. He attended Bemidji State and taught high school in Minnesota. Denny then moved back to Cedar Rapids to teach at Kennedy High, and married Winnie Lowe (a Linn-Mar grad) in 1967. He attended Northwestern Lutheran Seminary and served at churches in Iowa, Texas, Kansas, and Minnesota. While in Kansas, Denny served as Assistant to the Bishop of the Central States Synod, ELCA. Denny & Winnie recently moved back to the area after he had served as Interim Pastor in several congregations in Minnesota. They have four adult children and six grandchildren. Denny is looking forward to this fourth experience as an Interim Pastor. This will be the third ‘Lutheran Church of the Resurrection’ he has served!
