May 29: Called to Follow Christ

This Sunday, May 29, Pastor Dennis will preach “Called to Follow Christ –  This summer in worship we’ll learn in depth the story of the Apostle Paul, whose writings continue to shape the lives of the worldwide church. Through his video “The Call,” filmed in Turkey, Greece, and Rome, author Adam Hamilton will take us to the places where St. Paul walked, taught,  preached, and wrote his letters. The Scripture readings for June and July from two of his letters, Galatians and Colossians, will be the focus of the sermons by Pastor Dennis while Pastor Miranda is on her maternity leave. In the first video this Sunday, we’ll examine Paul’s background as a young man, his conversion on the road to Damascus, and his early ministry in and around Damascus. For Paul and for us, our lives are like puzzles, and God has a way of bringing those puzzle pieces together to create something good in us.
