Youth Volunteer Training Event – Sunday, September 17 at 3:00 pm

The Youth staff at LCR is holding a training event for all Sunday School, Wednesday Night Live, Confirmation, and EDGE volunteers along with our nursery staff. We will gather all together at the beginning of the afternoon for a time to “cast vision” for the important role that you have as volunteers as you share about the love of Jesus and come alongside our youth of all ages on the journey of discipleship.  We will discuss the five love languages of children in order to better connect with our children and youth as we serve. Then each group will break off for individual training specific to your volunteer area and will look ahead to the coming year. This event is for ALL volunteers working with youth and children. We look forward to teaming with you for the upcoming ministry year! If you are interested in learning more about love languages before the event, we recommend the book The Five Love Languages of Children by Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell, M.D.
