Christmas Eve Worship

Service of Lessons and Carols

December 24, 2010
3:00, 5:00 & 7:00

The Christmas story is retold using familiar texts from scripture beginning with the prophecies and ending with the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ birth. Between readings favorite Christmas hymns will be sung by the congregation including a special candlelight version of Silent Night.

Holy Communion will be celebrated at all three services. If you have family or friends visiting, or just simply decide to join us for the traditional Christmas Eve worship, and are unsure about participating in the sacrament, please be assured that you are welcome to participate at your comfort level. If you commune at a home church or if you simply desire the presence of God that comes in the bread and wine you are welcome to commune with us Christmas Eve. If you prefer, the server can give you a blessing in place of communion, or you may simply stay in your seat. Gluten-free crackers and non-alcoholic grape juice are also available in addition to the unleavened bread and wine.
