Dear members and friends of LCR,
This Sunday, May 6, our intern Alyssa Weaver will preach on “The Source of Joy” from John 15, especially verse 11- I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete. We wonder how Jesus could share these words of love and joy on the night of his arrest, the day before his crucifixion. What is this joy that Jesus is talking about, how do we get it or find it, and how in the midst of suffering can he/we even talk about joy? We will have an anthem by the Galileans and communion at the 8:15 service, with the baptism of Ava Nelson at 11:00.
There are other upcoming events and opportunities that we want to alert you to through this weekly e-note. Our website (www.lcrmarion.org) provide more details on each topic.
Blessings to you,
