On Sunday, April 17, Lutheran Church of the Resurrection will be presenting multifaceted reenactments of the final days before Jesus’ death and resurrection.
Musical Cantata: Once Upon a Tree at 8:15 & 11:00 in the Worship Room
Once Upon a Tree is a retelling of the passion story by Pepper Choplin using choral music and dramatic readings. It will be presented by an expanded Resurrection Choir at the First Light and New Song worship times.
Jerusalem Journey: 9:15-11:00
Take a guided tour through the scenes of Jesus’ days in Jerusalem before his crucifixion. Live actors will portray Jesus and the disciples. Sign up for your tour near the entrance to the Fellowship Hall. The last tour leaves at 10:30 so be sure to get signed up early.
While waiting for your tour, visit Jerusalem Marketplace and see samples of jewelry making, woodcarving, pottery and weaving that would have been available in Jerusalem during the passover. And as always, Resurrection’s cafe will be open with refreshments for all.
There will be no 9:45 Hope4All worship or Sunday School classes this week.
