Share your God-given gifts with others in the church and in our community
Last week we offered our 2016 Time & Talent catalog for members and friends of Resurrection to read through and decide how they want to serve in the year ahead. We received 184 adult and 23 youth Time & Talent sheets, which is a great start! If you haven’t already signed up for your serving preferences, please pick up the T&T catalog and a Volunteer Response Form and return them to the church office as soon as you can. The booklets and forms can be found at the usher stand or Welcome Center window at the church, or below:
Pastor Miranda’s sermon this Sunday, February 28th will be “Jesus Responds to Tragic News with Grace and a Call to Repentance.” Services are at 8:15, 9:45, and 11:00 am.
When you come to worship, be sure to bring a toothbrush (adult size, in original packaging) to donate to our ‘Baskets of Promise’ campaign. On March 20th, we’ll assemble all the personal care items donated throughout Lent and send the kits to Lutheran World Relief for distribution to people around the world who have been driven from their homes by natural disasters or violence.
This Wednesday, March 2nd…..
We are gathering for worship every Wednesday evening at 6:00 and 7:00 pm during the season of Lent (February 17–March 16). Our theme is “Stories of Faith and Vocation” with special faith testimonies from members of Resurrection. This is a meaningful and inspiring time as members share how their faith in Jesus has connected with what they feel called to in life as far as career, family, volunteering, and/or leisure. All are welcome to gather with us during this Lenten season to worship and to listen for Jesus’ call to follow in our lives. Holden Evening Prayer is our liturgy.
