SS Discipleship

The Workshop Rotation Model Sunday School is based upon the theory that children learn best by experience and repetition, and they do so within many different learning styles.  So for 5 weeks we embrace a Bible story through workshops such as Computers, Art, Video, Games, Science, Cooking, Drama(Storytelling), Literature & Music.

1st – 5th graders move to a new workshop every week along with their “Shepherds”.  Preschool and Kindergarten students meet their Shepherds in the same room each week.  Workshop Leaders teach the lessons to the kids.  The Bible story is reinforced at Opening/Closing large group gatherings.

The goal of the SS Disciple Ship Sunday School is for children to know, through experience, God’s love as told in the Bible.  Come and check us out any Sunday from 9:45 – 10:45….ALL ARE WELCOME!

About

Lutheran Church of the Resurrection exists to welcome people to faith in Jesus Christ; equip them with a faith that works in real life; and send them into the world to serve in Jesus’ name.

Five Purposes Of Resurrection

  • Evangelism: An inviting hand that reaches out to others with the story of God’s great Love.

  • Discipleship: An earnest mind that grows in knowledge and faith and helps us become more Christ-like in our thoughts, words, and daily life.

  • Ministry: A compassionate spirit that heals hurts, gives hope, and works for justice in the name of Jesus.

  • Worship: A thankful heart for worship and celebration that gives glory to God and brings us closer to Christ.

  • Fellowship: A welcoming voice that encourages and supports Christian fellowship.
