Frances K. Veatch, 87, of Winslow House Care Center, died at St. Luke’s Hospital, Tuesday, June 26, 2012. Frances was born February 17, 1925 in Fayette County to Andrew and Lena (Torkelson) Kloster. She married Floyd “Tony” Veatch in Des Moines on November 23, 1953. She worked as a registered nurse. Frances was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Galbraith of Van Horne, and Carol (Tim) Stamp of Marion; son Kevin of Cedar Rapids; and eight grandchildren, Suzanne (Brian) Guider, Jonathan (Alison) Galbraith, William and Dalton Veatch, Katie and Trisha Hagensick, and Molly and Jack Stamp, and a great grandson, William Guider.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Floyd and her siblings.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection by Rev. Kevin T. Jones. Entombment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
