Woodworkers

The Woodcarving Group gathers on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30 in the Art Room to carve together. Group members work on individual projects teaching and helping each other. Members work on relief carvings, in-the round, chip carvings and other styles. If you’ve ever wanted to learn woodcarving or would enjoy some fellowship while you carve you are welcome. No experience necessary. Come by and we’ll help you get started.  All ages are welcome.

Woodcarvers-1

Resurrection Woodworkers design and build projects for the church like the worship furnishings, library bookshelves and office cabinetry. When projects are requested teams of woodworkers work together to build and finish the project using the woodworking shop at the church. The Woodworkers also help other congregations. Open to anyone interested in woodworking, whether you have experience or want to learn.

About

Lutheran Church of the Resurrection exists to welcome people to faith in Jesus Christ; equip them with a faith that works in real life; and send them into the world to serve in Jesus’ name.

Five Purposes Of Resurrection

  • Evangelism: An inviting hand that reaches out to others with the story of God’s great Love.

  • Discipleship: An earnest mind that grows in knowledge and faith and helps us become more Christ-like in our thoughts, words, and daily life.

  • Ministry: A compassionate spirit that heals hurts, gives hope, and works for justice in the name of Jesus.

  • Worship: A thankful heart for worship and celebration that gives glory to God and brings us closer to Christ.

  • Fellowship: A welcoming voice that encourages and supports Christian fellowship.
