July Fellowship: Canoeing & Cookout and Golf Fundraiser

There are two great opportunities to have fun in July! Please sign up in advance.

LCR Canoeing & Cookout Event

Saturday, July 16Pinicon Ridge Park, Riverside Shelter

Noon – Canoers meet at canoe rental office for paperwork and safety instruction. The canoe rental is $20/canoe. Life jackets are provided. Ages 16 and up may rent canoes themselves; under 16 must have a parent sign a waiver at the rental office. A shuttle will take canoe renters to the river. If you have your own canoe/kayak, you may park at Paris Bridge and put your boat in. If there is no parking, you may drive back to the shelter and park there. There will be a shuttle available to take you to the launch site.

1:00-3:00 Canoe Trip

Fellowship – Come anytime during the afternoon for paddleboats, kayaks, snacks, games, kids’ playground, horseshoes, sand volleyball, hiking, etc. or to just sit in the shade and enjoy the fellowship! There are inlets right beside our shelter area. Canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats may be rented in the park for $10/ hour plus $1 for life jackets.

Guests, please bring:

  • Lawn chairs
  • Volleyball (if you have one)
  • Sunscreen
  • Canoers – Ziploc bag for phone & keys,

life vests (if you have one), water bottle

3:00 Cookout – Hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, condiments, lemonade, and water will be provided. Please check the Volunteer Spot website to sign up for items to bring and share! http://vols.pt/voDXsL

NOTE: both the canoe trip and cookout are alcohol-free events.

2016 Resurrection Golf Outing and Mission of Hope/Crossroads Fundraiser

Sunday, July 31, starting at 1:00 pm, at Hunters Ridge in Marion
The cost per player for this event is $45, which includes 18 Holes of Golf, Cart Rental, Range Balls, and the Burger & Awards Banquet afterwards.

In addition, there will be:

**Clubhouse Gift Certificates for flight winners

**Prizes for 6 Flag Events (sponsored by Marion HyVee Meat Dept.)

**You can purchase $1 Mulligan tickets to enter for the Golf Give-Away (prizes listed on church bulletin board)
