Celebration Sunday Potluck
Celebration Sunday Potluck will be held at noon next Sunday, November 20th. Our fall stewardship emphasis, “Loving Generously,” will culminate in worship with an ingathering of commitments for 2017. Afterwards, we’ll celebrate with a congregational potluck. Please bring a dish to share; beverages and a limited number of brats will be provided. We would appreciate some kitchen helpers that day. Thanksgiving Basket Packing Event – After our Celebration Sunday potluck next Sunday, we’ll assemble 40 food baskets for Marion Cares, Mission of Hope, and Matthew 25. Bring an item or two to add to the baskets: hams, turkeys, potatoes, canned goods, pies, rolls, etc. Monetary gifts are welcome, too.
Thanksgiving Community Meal
Tuesday, November 22 from 4 – 7 pm
You are invited to give thanks together and to share a meal and conversation together alongside our neighbors. Let us live out loving generously together as a community “One 2 Another.” Marion Cares & Lutheran Church of the Resurrection team together for an amazing banquet meal provided by Prairie Hill Pavilion Banquet Hall.
Please RSVP for the dinner by letting us know on your welcome card or by calling the church office (377-4689). The meal is free, but an onsite free-will offering will be accepted. If you are interested in bringing a dessert or helping to decorate tables for the dinner, please call the church office or email Pastor Miranda at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Thanksgiving Eve Worship
Our annual Thanksgiving Eve service will be on Wednesday, November 23 at 6 pm. The offering will be given to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal, which is our Mission Envelope recipient for November -December. Following the service, we’ll have some pie and fellowship together. If you would like to bring a pumpkin, apple, or other pie, let Marcia Edwards know in our office. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.
