Resurrection E-news: September 10, 2017

Dear members and friends of LCR,

This Sunday, September 10 , is Rally Sunday. Traditional worship is at  8:15, with contemporary worship at 9:45 & 11:00.  We welcome our youngest members back to Sunday School at 9:45. At noon, there will be a potluck with pulled pork sandwiches and hot dogs provided- please bring a side dish to share. Games and activities for kids on the back lawn will be available, including a bounce house, balloon animals, and face painting. On this kick-off Sunday, remember to wear your favorite team’s gear!

In worship, I’ll launch a new 5-week sermon series on Spiritual Gifts with a message from I Corinthians 12. In addition, there will be a “litany of beginning” for our intern, Alyssa Weaver at all services. At the 8:15 service, we will honor Ed and Sharon Hill for their 27 years of leadership with the Older Hymns. Your cards of welcome and appreciation for Alyssa and the Hills would be welcome. There will be a table in the gathering space with a “welcome cake” and baskets for cards.

There are other upcoming events and opportunities that we want to alert you to through this weekly e-note. Our website (www.lcrmarion.org) provide more details on each topic.

See you on Sunday,

Pastor Dennis
