October 27: Don't forget to wear red to celebrate Reformation Sunday! We'll also kick-off our fall stewardship campaign and sermon series.

November 3: Remember the saints from this congregation who have passed away during the last year and light candles to remember the saints in your own life.

November 10: We get to welcome new members to the congregation!

October 20: PEP (55+) "Harvest of Memories" | 5:00 pm
Enjoy a meal of sloppy joes & side dishes and friendly conversations. Groups will rotate, sharing memories & photos (infant to age 20), leading to laughter and new friends! Please sign up on the entryway bulletin board; contact person for this event is Pam Brown: 319-721-2563

October 23: EDGE (High School Ministry) Open House | 7:30 pm
Everyone is invited to join our high school students during their weekly EDGE gathering. Experience what a night at EDGE is like and learn about the ways it helps them grow in their relationships with God and with each other. Contact Katie Kascel with questions.

October 27: New Member Lunch | 11:30 pm
We are having a luncheon and information meeting for all who are interested in learning more about Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. We’ll gather for lunch, get to know each other, and answer as many questions as you might have.

October 30: Confirmation Trunk or Treat | 5-6:30 pm

Help our confirmation students with their service project by "feeding" the candy monster. All kids 5th grade and younger are welcome to participate in the event.

Volunteer Opportunities

Welcome Cards in pew pockets - Could you assist us by putting our welcome cards in the pew pockets on a regular basis? Please make a note on the back
of your welcome card if you can help.
We need a couple of able-bodied guys to mount a new monitor on the back wall of the worship room. This will involve ladders! If you are strong and have good balance, and/or if you are handy, please make a note on the back of your welcome card.

Foosball Table back in the YAC (high school room) is free for whoever
can load it up and take it away first.
